Vintage Hertwig Porcelain German dolls, painted faces and molded hair
First....I'm not a doll person or knowledgeable to a great extent in dolls, so please bear in mind with my description.
Believed to be China head dolls or Porcelain head dolls, these two loved and played with piece's came to us in an estate. I believe the larger headed doll to be a Hertwig. Not certain about the smaller one. They appear to be all original and again, showing signs of lots of love.
The only issue I find as far as real damage to the small one is her shoes or feet look misshapen or broken. With the larger one it would be that the poor girl is losing sawdust regularly out of her stocking legs. As can be seen in the photos they are hand stitched in several places.
I have to admit the body on the smaller headed doll seems too long .... will let the professional really decide. They are a nice piece of childhood history and hopefully will find a nice good home to live out the rest of their days.
