Vintage 11" All Bisque Clown with great painted face, Mechanical Automaton Music Box w K&R Look. Plays Bach's Minuet in G and the clown turns around the box while the music plays. This piece works perfectly and the music box is very nice quality. The doll is marked with raised PIELI which we think is a famous italian Doll Artist and Maker. We believe this piece to be from the 1060's or 1960's. The all bisque doll is fully jointed and one hand holds a flower which is attached to the hane. we have not attempted to remove flower as it is firmly attached so we do not know if their is another hand there or this has always been the way it was made. The piece seems to be 100% all original. The overall look of the doll resembles a K&R character like 101 or 113 mold. the painting was done very well and the piece has a high quality appearance. We think this musical doll will please any doll collector. We have not attempted to remove clothing but the all bisque doll feels like it is perfect and is very poseable and you can do lots of different positions with this piece. The doll is in PERFECT condition without hairline, cracks or flaws.
