NIADA Artist Doll by Elizabeth Brandon, Porcelain Asian Baby, sits 4 inches tall. Condition is "Pre-owned". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
What a little sweetheart!!
This lovely little baby doll sits just 4 inches tall.
Made completely of porcelain, she was created by NIADA member Elizabeth Brandon.
This doll is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.
Elizabeth Brandon was a very talented member of The National Institute of American Doll Artists.
She became a member in 1979 and her dolls were instantly loved and very highly regarded. Sadly, she passed away in 2012.
When you see the details on this tiny example of her work, you can really appreciate her talent and craftsmanship.
It is especially apparent in the tiny hands with dimples and the separate toes on the feet.
Look at the little chubby thighs and her big smile!
The head on this doll turns and swivels and her arms and legs are jointed at the porcelain body.
She can sit on her own.
The painting on her face is so very lifelike!!
From the softly painted brushstrokes of her eyebrows to her tiny painted teeth, the detail is amazing.
Her hair is glued on and is sparse, like a real baby.
The back of the head is signed and dated in the porcelain, "Elizabeth Brandon 1996"
She is outfitted in a beautiful white dress trimmed in several types of vintage lace.
The small puffed sleeves have tiny pink bows at the shoulders.
2 buttons on the back of the dress open so it can be removed.
The baby has a diaper underneath.
Please note: The vintage fabric of the dress is very delicate. It is very slightly discolored in some spots, and has some pinholes in it.
Her hair is shedding slightly, if it is handled too much.
