Internal FireWire Converter With 911+ With HW RAID 0 Includes FireWire Cable 6 Pin to 6 PinSupports Dual Drive: Master/Slave mode; ATAPI or ATA-33 to 133
Supports Win98SE, ME, 2K, XP, Linux, FreeBDS, MAC OS 9.x or later
Free CPU resource by reducing number of IRQ being sent to CPU
Daisy chain able to 64 devices, no more 4 IDE per MotherBoard
No HDD size limitation, supports mix ATA/ATAPI interfaces
Hardware RAID 0 capable: double HDD speed
Introducing an improved version of our famous Dual Drive Internal FireWire Converter, which offers unsurpassed performance yet is simple and easy to use. Our IFC-1P, a IDE direct plug-in device, converts any
up to TWO
new or existing ATAPI/ATA devices into IEEE-1394/FireWire daisy chain-able internally with
hardware RAID 0 capable
.
When converting IDE devices to FireWire devices with our IFC-1P Internal FireWire Bridge Adapter, your computer will run SMOOTHER, FASTER and BETTER because the IDE drives no longer send TOO MANY IRQ to CPU, therefore computer system's CPU has a lot more time to do what it is suppose to. Due to the bus architecture, it will not lockup the bus when commands are sent to the bus.
Applications:
JBoD
- with our Brand New Dual Drive Internal FireWire Converter, your computer system is no longer subjected to four IDE devices and IRQ limitations. Now you can have up to 63 Internal or External IDE devices in the expense of only ONE IRQ.
CD/DVD Duplicator
Our FireWire to IDE supports ATAPI-6 therefore you can daisy chain converted IDE to FireWire Optical Drives and burn all of them at the same time or each drive with different images. Some of our customers have configured systems that are able to burn TEN different DVD titles at the same time!
RAID 5
With software RAID you can even build your self a high reliable RAID 5 system with our IFC-1P. For further information on how to build RAID 5, please click

Boost the Computer Performance
Some people have referred to FireWire bus as the "POOR MAN SCSI" simply because it has intelligent controlling embedded, which is why when FireWire operates, it sends much less interrupted requests to CPU compare to ATA or ATAPI (IDE bus), thus the CPU does not wast time and resources for handling IRQ issues. Based on this feature, we have some articles which will show you how to make your PC run faster
