    Darling vintage and very well modeled, all bisque, 12" tall, sockethead, Gebruder Heubach,
    "Whistler"
    boy doll, marked with only the (incised)
    square Heubach signature
    with the number
    5
    above it and small
    74
    to the right as shown on page 101, "Blue Book", 16th edition-Foulke. This wonderfully modeled boy has molded and painted, blond curly hair,
    intaglio painted blue eyes glancing to the side
    and an open, "
    whistling
    " mouth. He has a swivel neck and double-eyelid lines, single-stroke brows and soft coloring and jointed, lined sockets at his shoulders and hips with well modeled hands and ears. He wears an old-fashioned type, two-piece,
    blue & white cotton,  sailor suit with wide sailor collar
    ,  black stockings and shoes and holds his (removable) wooden fishing rod with fish and woven creel in one hand. He is in excellent condition, complete with
    wrist tag
