    Description

    Bisque Half Doll with Jointed Arms
    This is a vintage bisque half doll that is about 4½” tall and is marked on the back “Made in Germany”.
    This was made by Bruno Schmidt pre-1918, according to my research.
    This doll has a beautiful hand painted face with blue eyes, bright blush and red lips.
    This half doll is unusual because of the jointed arms.
    They are incised “3593” on the inside joint.
    They are newly strung with elastic cord and can hold a pose.
    The left hand has a chipped pinkie, and the bottom of the figure has a chip in the back.  There are four sewing holes at the bottom.  See photos for details.
